In France, a free public scheme helps victims of cybercrime. Understanding its role, and that of the 17Cyber platform, helps you react quickly and well. Here is what they cover, when to use them, and how specialist support comes on top of them without ever replacing them.
These schemes are public and free. None of them will ever ask for your codes.
Individuals and businesses alike can turn to a national public scheme. It has two complementary parts: an assistance scheme that informs and directs, and a “reflex” platform that helps assess a situation in progress.
The French national scheme for assisting victims of cybercrime, run by a public interest group. It informs, raises awareness and directs victims, and lists providers who can support them.
17Cyber is the “reflex” platform run as part of this public scheme. It helps a victim assess their situation and find out what to do: a first point of entry in the event of an incident.
The public scheme and specialist support are complementary. One puts you on the right track; the other acts on the practical side: securing, preserving evidence, handling the formal steps, managing remediation or a crisis.
Datashield Risk Consulting, which publishes Galyct, is listed on Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr. The State scheme remains the free entry point; we take over when evidence, crisis or coordination are decisive. In practice, we assess your situation and then point you in the right direction.
Frame your case before taking any action. The right diagnosis avoids moves that destroy evidence or increase your exposure.
Collect and preserve what can serve as evidence (for your bank, your insurer, your lawyer or the courts) before the traces disappear.
Manage remediation or the crisis unit, document every action, coordinate the parties involved, with method and strict confidentiality.
After the public reflex, practical help: a guided diagnosis, a clear action plan, a file and letters ready to send.
Incident handling, crisis unit, timestamped evidence register and compliance frameworks.
A guide helps you avoid panic and mistakes. It does not replace advice on your own case, and we never guarantee a result: neither identifying a perpetrator, nor recovering funds. We will never ask for your codes.
The French State provides reference resources for victims and businesses. Galyct does not replace them: we help you use them at the right time.
